How much does an energy subscription cost?

Subscription fees are billed annually per country and displayed as a monthly rate, starting at $19 USD/month for the Starter plan.

Plan Fee (per country)
Starter $19 USD/month, billed annually
Pro $29 USD/month, billed annually
Advanced Starting at $39 USD/month, billed annually
Ultimate Upon request (starting at $129 USD/month, billed annually)

Because subscriptions are sold per country, the total fee scales with the number of countries included. All plans support credit card, PayPal, and wire transfer payments. Wire transfer incurs an additional USD 199 fee and takes 3–5 business days to activate.

Are subscriptions monthly or annual?

All Energy Prices & Markets subscriptions are billed annually. Monthly billing and single-access options are not available — three self-service plans (Starter, Pro, Advanced) can be purchased on the website, and the Ultimate plan is available on request.

For details on auto-renewal, wire-transfer renewal mechanics, and the price-lock guarantee, see Is there a monthly subscription option? and Does my subscription renew automatically each year?.

Is there a plan that includes price forecasts?

Price forecasts are included in Pro, Advanced, and Ultimate plans. The Starter plan does not include price forecasts.

Forecasts are updated monthly alongside all other price data and cover selected energy price assessments per country. To access forecasts, the minimum plan is Pro at $29 USD/month per country, billed annually.

Can I add more countries to my subscription?

Additional countries can be added to an existing Energy Prices & Markets subscription at any time, with charges prorated for the remainder of the billing period.

To add a country, the subscription owner must:

  1. Log in at www.intratec.us with your registered email and password.
  2. Click on "Subscriptions" in the account menu.
  3. Locate the Energy Prices & Markets subscription and click "Upgrade Plan."
  4. Select the additional country or countries to add.

You pay only the prorated difference for the time remaining in your current billing period. Only the subscription owner can make changes to the subscription.

Can I switch or remove a country after subscribing?

Countries cannot be switched or removed from an Energy Prices & Markets subscription after subscribing. Once a country is added, it remains part of the subscription until it expires or is cancelled.

You can add new countries at any time — paying only the prorated difference — but you cannot replace one country with another or remove a country mid-term. To change coverage, you would need to wait until the current subscription period ends and then purchase a new subscription with the desired countries.

How do I get energy data into Excel or Power BI?

The Excel Add-In and Power BI integration are available for Energy Prices & Markets on Advanced and Ultimate plans. The setup, refresh workflow, and tooling are identical across Intratec products — for the full walkthrough see How do I get Intratec data into Excel or Power BI?.

Data request allowance for Energy Prices & Markets (per country, per month, shared across Excel Add-In, Power BI, and API):

Plan Default With Extra Automation Package
Advanced 50 / country / month 500 / country / month
Ultimate 500+ / country / month (up to 20 API users)

Is there a plan for market outlook and trade data?

Market Outlook and trade data are included in Advanced and Ultimate plans. These sections provide a full picture of each country's energy supply and demand dynamics.

Market Outlook data covers:

  • Exports, imports, and trade balance
  • Trade partners and trade dependencies
  • Production and demand
  • Energy balance and energy self-sufficiency

Advanced and Ultimate plans also include Freight & Insurance Costs (freight rates, forecasts, insurance, netback and netforward prices) and Electricity Generation by Source — data that helps contextualize price movements with fundamental market drivers.

If your analysis requires understanding trade flows or production dynamics alongside price data, the Advanced plan is the minimum tier needed.

Can I share data outside my organization?

Energy Prices & Markets follows Intratec's standard licensing tiers — sharing with third parties or integrating data into your own products requires the Ultimate plan. Standard plans (Starter, Pro, Advanced) restrict data use to within the subscriber's own organization or business group.

For the full sharing-scope matrix (Starter through Ultimate), reselling restrictions, and business-group rules, see Can I share Intratec data outside my organization?.

The Ultimate plan is available upon request. A preliminary quote tailored to your needs can be generated on the Ultimate plan page.

How many users can access my subscription?

Energy Prices & Markets follows Intratec's standard per-plan user limits — 2 (Starter), 3 (Pro), 5 (Advanced), up to 20 (Ultimate). The Starter plan additionally restricts access by geography: users must be located in the country where the subscription was purchased.

For the rules on adding users, business-email-domain requirements, and the geo-restriction details, see How many users can access a subscription? and What does "geo-restricted access" mean for my plan?.

API and Automation Access

How do I integrate energy data into my own systems?

The REST Web API enables direct, programmatic access to Energy Prices & Markets data. It is available on Advanced and Ultimate plans and is compatible with workflow automation tools and internal systems.

Advanced plan — 1 API user with 10 to 500 requests per country per month, depending on the automation tier selected at checkout.

Ultimate plan — Up to 20 API users with 500+ requests per country per month, designed for enterprise-scale integration.

The API is compatible with Microsoft Logic Apps, N8N, Zapier, and other automation platforms, as well as ERP and proprietary systems. It provides access to current data and full historical archives.

Data requests are counted collectively across the API, Excel Add-In, and Power BI — all three automation methods share the same monthly allowance.

What determines how many API requests I get?

The number of API requests available per month depends on your plan and the automation tier selected at checkout.

Plan API Users Requests per Country / Month
Starter N/A N/A
Pro N/A N/A
Advanced 1 10 to 500 (tier selected at checkout)
Ultimate Up to 20 500+

On the Advanced plan, the default allowance is 50 requests per country per month. An Extra Automation Package (500 requests/month/country) is available as an add-on. These limits are reset monthly and are shared across all automation methods — each data series retrieved via the API, Excel Add-In, or Power BI counts as one request.

The Ultimate plan is designed for teams with high-volume or enterprise-scale automation needs and includes 500+ requests per country per month with up to 20 API users.
