Subscription Plans
What subscription options are available?
Industry Economics & Competitiveness is sold as an annual subscription, priced per country per plan and displayed as a monthly rate. Four plan tiers are available:
One plan applies to your entire subscription — the same tier covers all countries you subscribe to.
How does report content vary by plan?
Starter shows a country's score across every pillar we track — but not the analysis behind each score. Pro and above unlock the full breakdown for each pillar: the narrative, supporting charts, and data that explain what's driving a country's position.
Summary View vs. Full Pillar Analysis
Every plan covers the same 14-pillar framework — 8 Base Pillars and 6 Specific Pillars across 7 sectors. What changes between plans is how much detail you receive for each pillar:
- Summary View (Starter): Scores and rank positions across all 14 pillars are shown, but without the dedicated section that explains each one. You see where the country stands, but not the full narrative, supporting charts, and data tables that explain why.
- Full Pillar Breakdown (Pro, Advanced, Ultimate): Each pillar gets its own section with complete analysis — score trend, supporting indicators, contributing factors, and month-over-month and year-over-year change tracking.
The difference shows directly in report size:
Historical data depth
Each higher plan inherits the history of the lower plans — your historical depth accumulates as you upgrade.
Beyond the report itself, Advanced and Ultimate subscribers can pull a full 10-year monthly history through the Excel Add-In, Power BI connector, and the REST Web API.
Reference Datasets (Advanced and Ultimate only)
Advanced and Ultimate plans add four reference datasets not included in the report analysis:
- Plant Construction Cost Indexes — monthly index per country tracking CapEx escalation (base: Jan 2000 = 100), with 6-month forecast
- Plant Location Factors — multipliers that convert plant construction costs from each of the 32 peer countries into your report country's basis (your report country = 1.00)
- Labor Costs & Productivity Factors — country-level workforce metrics across manufacturing and construction roles, including labor costs and prices for chemical plant operators and supervisors
- Industrial Utility Costs — monthly prices for 10 industrial utilities in the report country, with a 6-month forecast on selected series
A Pro subscriber sees the full Energy & Utilities Costs pillar for their target country — built on the Average Energy Price indicator (a composite weighted by national consumption), with its score trend and year-over-year change. An Advanced subscriber sees the same section plus the Industrial Utility Costs reference dataset, which adds individual utility prices for that same target country.
What else does each plan include?
Beyond report content, plans differ in how the PDF is delivered, how many users can access it, what automation is available, and what sharing rights apply.
PDF delivery
Automation and data integration (Advanced and Ultimate only)
Advanced and Ultimate plans unlock access to the Excel Add-In, Power BI connector, and REST Web API. These deliver the same data available in the PDF through automated channels. Each data series access counts as one request against a shared monthly limit of 10 per country on the Advanced plan — expandable with the optional Extra Automation Package (+450 requests/country/month for $349 USD/year). Monthly Downloadable Spreadsheets are available exclusively on the Ultimate plan.
Users, access scope, and licensing
Report release day — reports publish on the 8th business day (Starter), 5th (Pro), or 3rd (Advanced and Ultimate).
Technical support: Email support with a 3-business-day response time and up to 2 man-hours per quarter is available on Advanced and Ultimate plans only.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Plan upgrades are available at any time. Downgrades and scope reductions are not permitted.
Upgrading your plan
Plan upgrades apply to your entire subscription — all covered countries move to the new tier simultaneously. When you upgrade, a new billing cycle opens and the charge reflects the new plan price minus a prorated credit for the prepaid but unused portion of your previous configuration.
To upgrade: log in at intratec.us, go to Subscriptions, locate your Industry Economics & Competitiveness subscription, and click Upgrade Plan.
Downgrades and scope reductions
Industry Economics & Competitiveness subscriptions are non-reducible. Neither a plan downgrade nor a reduction in country count is allowed mid-cycle or at renewal. If you need a smaller scope, your current subscription must run to its end date and a new, smaller subscription must be contracted separately.
Plan and country configuration cannot be reduced at any point during the subscription term. Choose your tier and country count carefully before subscribing.
