Premier Membership
What is the Premier Membership?
A Premier Membership gives you a balance, in US dollars, to spend later on Premium reports and Advanced subscriptions. You pay once, at a discount, and choose what to buy when the need comes up. Your membership discount comes on top of the discounts available on eligible purchases.
A membership is a one-time fee for a 24-month term, not a recurring charge, and it comes in fixed amounts. Memberships, prices and discounts are on our Premier Membership page, and the full rules are in our Premier Membership & Coupons terms. Your balance becomes available once we confirm your payment. You pay for a membership with money: a balance or a coupon cannot be used to buy one.
What can I buy with my balance?
Featured
Your balance pays for these purchases:
- Advanced subscriptions to Primary Commodity Prices, Energy Prices & Markets, and Industry Economics & Competitiveness
- Premium reports from Commodity Production Costs, purchased individually
- Add-ons and upgrades to any of these purchases, such as extra coverage (for example, more countries), the Extra Automation Package, express delivery, a printable PDF, or Companion Reports
A bundle also qualifies when every item in it is on this list.
Your balance cannot be used for the All-in-One Subscription on any plan, including Advanced and Advanced+, or for the Commodity Production Costs Subscription; Premium reports purchased individually remain eligible. It also cannot be used for Starter, Pro or Ultimate plans, Compact or Detailed reports purchased individually, Bespoke Reports, or another membership. A renewal, add-on or upgrade qualifies only when the purchase it belongs to qualifies, so moving a Detailed report up to the Premium edition, or a Pro subscription up to Advanced, cannot be paid with your balance.
How do I pay with my balance at checkout?
At checkout, you decide whether to use your balance; it is never applied automatically. You can use it only when every item in your cart is eligible: if even one item is not, your balance cannot be used for any part of that order. The balance is used at checkout only and cannot be added to an order you have already placed.
If your balance does not cover the full amount, you can use what you have and pay the difference with one of our other payment methods.
Your usual discounts still apply; the discount you received on the membership is not applied again. You pay our current prices at the time of your order, less any discounts that apply, and that final amount is deducted from your balance, dollar for dollar. A membership does not lock in today's prices. Paying with your balance does not change the license, users, coverage, edition or access period of what you buy.
Your cart holds only eligible items and totals USD 8,000 after discounts. With USD 2,000 left in your balance, you can use all of it and pay the remaining USD 6,000 by card.
Who can use the balance?
Featured
A balance belongs to one account: only the account that bought the membership can use it. It is not shared with any other account, including colleagues who use the same company email domain, and it cannot be sold or transferred, except in the case below. This applies to the balance only: the users of a subscription you buy with your balance follow that subscription's normal rules.
If the person who holds the balance leaves your company, your company can ask our support team in writing, through the Intratec contact form, to move the entire balance to another user at the same company. The balance moves in full, keeps its current end date, and does not become shared.
How long is my balance valid?
Featured
Your balance is valid for 24 months from the date we confirm payment for the membership. If you buy another membership while you still hold a valid balance, your whole balance, old and new amounts together, becomes valid for 24 months from the date we confirm the new payment.
A balance that expires cannot be used, recovered or refunded, and buying a membership later does not bring it back. Spending from your balance or paying part of an order another way does not extend its validity. Anything you already bought keeps its own access period after your balance expires.
Does the membership renew automatically?
Featured
No. A membership is a one-time fee for a 24-month term. It does not renew and does not create any recurring charge: we do not charge you again unless you buy another membership.
When the term ends, any balance left cannot be used, recovered or refunded. What you already bought with it keeps its own access period.
Do subscriptions paid with my balance renew automatically?
No. A subscription paid with your balance, in whole or in part, does not renew automatically, even when your balance would cover the renewal. You start and confirm each renewal yourself, and you can choose to pay it with your balance at checkout. A renewal you pay with your balance is charged at our prices at the time you renew.
Buying a membership does not change subscriptions you already pay by card: they keep renewing on that card as before. Some add-ons start a new subscription period. If you pay for one of these with your balance, the new period counts as paid with your balance and does not renew automatically, even if the subscription was on your card before.
How do refunds work with a membership?
Featured
A membership is not refundable if you change your mind or do not use some or all of your balance, except where the law requires it. A purchase you paid with your balance follows its normal refund rules, and an approved refund comes back in the form you paid.
A purchase paid with your balance keeps the refund conditions of that purchase in our Refund Policy. For a report purchased individually, you can ask for a refund within 48 hours of the order. A new subscription is not refundable, except where required by law; a renewal may be refunded, exceptionally, on a request made within 21 days of the charge. To ask for a refund, email sales@intratec.us with the subject line "Refund Request".
When a refund is approved, we deduct an 8% fee from both parts of the payment: the part paid from your balance and the part paid in money. Each part comes back the way you paid it: the part paid from your balance returns to your balance, and money returns to the original payment account. A balance is never converted into money.
You paid for a fully refundable purchase with USD 1,000 from your balance and USD 500 by card. The refund gives you back USD 920 to your balance and USD 460 to your card.
Amounts returned to your balance keep the end date they would have had if you had not used them. A refund does not give them a new validity period, and it does not bring back a balance that has already expired.
Can a membership add specific licensing or data delivery terms?
In some cases, yes, by agreement before you buy. Examples include permission to use our analyses in agreed ways in work you deliver to your clients, or data delivery through an API within an agreed scope. These are licensing and delivery terms: they do not change the content of our reports and do not include Bespoke Reports.
Contact our sales team at sales@intratec.us before buying a membership. If we can meet the requirement, we'll agree with you on the scope and price, and you pay for it together with the membership, not from your balance. The additional charge does not add to your balance. You receive only the rights stated in a written agreement signed by both parties, which sets out the uses or delivery covered, the purchases it applies to and for how long. It does not give a general right to share, distribute or resell our content. Buying another membership does not extend that agreement, and without one, everything you buy with your balance follows its standard license.
