# Data Formats and Delivery

## How do I access my reports after subscribing? {#how-do-i-access-my-reports-after-subscribing}

Industry Economics & Competitiveness reports are delivered as monthly PDF documents, one per country. To access them:

1. Log in at intratec.us with the registered email and password
2. Click on **My Products** in the account menu
3. Filter by **Industry Economics & Competitiveness** to see your country subscriptions
4. Click on the desired country to open the current monthly report
5. Click **View** to read online or **Download PDF** to save locally (download availability depends on your plan)

Beyond the PDF, Advanced and Ultimate subscribers can also access the same data through the Excel Add-In, Power BI connector, and REST Web API — all included at no additional cost on those plans. Monthly Downloadable Spreadsheets are available **exclusively on the Ultimate plan**.

## Can I download or print the reports? {#can-i-download-or-print-the-reports}

Whether you can download or print a PDF depends on your subscription plan:

| Plan | PDF Access |
|---|---|
| Starter | Online read-only — can be viewed in the browser but not downloaded or printed |
| Pro | Downloadable — can be saved locally as a PDF file |
| Advanced | Downloadable and print-enabled |
| Ultimate | Downloadable and print-enabled |

Starter subscribers can read the full report through the browser. Downloading requires Pro or higher; printing requires Advanced or Ultimate.

## Can I pull the data into Excel? {#can-i-pull-the-data-into-excel}

Yes — the Intratec Excel Add-In is available on Advanced and Ultimate plans. It lets you pull subscription data directly into Excel without manual data entry, so you can feed scores, ranks, and historical series into your own models and spreadsheets automatically.

Each time you retrieve a data series through the Add-In, it counts as one request against your monthly limit (shared across Excel, Power BI, and the API). Advanced plans include 10 requests per country per month; this can be expanded with the optional Extra Automation Package.

The Excel Add-In is included at no extra cost with Advanced or Ultimate. Subscribers on Starter or Pro need to upgrade to access it.

## Can I connect the data to Power BI? {#can-i-connect-the-data-to-power-bi}

Yes — Power BI integration is available for Industry Economics & Competitiveness on Advanced and Ultimate plans, at no additional cost. The integration gives you access to the full historical data available under your plan, including the 10-year monthly history available through automated channels.

The setup, the open-source `.pbix` files, the Developer-role assignment, and the customization workflow are identical across Intratec products — see [Can I connect Intratec data to Power BI?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#can-i-connect-intratec-data-to-power-bi) for the full walkthrough.

Power BI requests share the same monthly data-request pool as the Excel Add-In and the API — see [Do Excel, Power BI, and the API share request limits?](#do-excel-power-bi-and-the-api-share-request-limits) for the per-country allowance.

## Is there an API for automated data access? {#is-there-an-api-for-automated-data-access}

> Yes — Industry Economics & Competitiveness is accessible via Intratec's REST Web API on Advanced and Ultimate plans, at no additional cost. The API exposes scores, ranks, and full historical series within your plan's depth.

The API conventions, supported languages, workflow-tool compatibility, and Developer-role setup are identical across Intratec products — see [Is there a REST API for Intratec data?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#is-there-a-rest-api-for-intratec-data) for the full technical reference.

The API shares the same monthly request pool as the Excel Add-In and Power BI — see [Do Excel, Power BI, and the API share request limits?](#do-excel-power-bi-and-the-api-share-request-limits) for the per-country allowance and Extra Automation Package pricing.

## Can I download the data as a spreadsheet? {#can-i-download-the-data-as-a-spreadsheet}

Monthly Downloadable Spreadsheets are available **exclusively on the Ultimate plan** for Industry Economics & Competitiveness. Each month, ready-made files are uploaded to your account — log in, navigate to **My Products**, and download the latest files directly.

This is the same feature available across all Intratec subscription products (Ultimate-only on every product). For the full mechanics, the difference from the Excel Add-In, and request-limit treatment, see [Can I download Intratec data as a monthly spreadsheet?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#can-i-download-intratec-data-as-a-monthly-spreadsheet).

Starter, Pro, and Advanced subscribers do not have access to this feature.

## Do Excel, Power BI, and the API share request limits? {#do-excel-power-bi-and-the-api-share-request-limits}

> Yes — the Excel Add-In, Power BI connector, and REST Web API all draw from the same monthly request pool.

The monthly limit is applied per country across all three delivery channels combined. It does not matter which channel makes the request — every retrieval of subscription data counts toward the same allowance.

| Plan | API Users | Requests per Country / Month |
|---|---|---|
| Advanced | 1 | 10 (included) |
| Ultimate | Up to 20 | 10 (included) |

On the Advanced plan, the included allowance can be expanded at any time with the optional Extra Automation Package: +450 requests per country per month for $349 USD/year.

!!!success
*If your subscription for one country has a limit of 10 requests per month and you retrieve 6 series through the Excel Add-In, you have 4 requests remaining for that country — across Power BI and the API as well.*
!!!

## What happens when I run out of data requests? {#what-happens-when-i-run-out-of-data-requests}

When the monthly request allowance for a country is exhausted, no further data can be retrieved for that country until the limit resets on the next monthly publication. The mechanics — non-cumulative allowances, automatic reset on the release date, sandbox exemption, and adding the Extra Automation Package — are identical across all Intratec subscription products.

For the full reset rules, sandbox guidance, and step-by-step Extra Automation Package upgrade, see [What happens when I run out of data requests?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#what-happens-when-i-run-out-of-data-requests).

For Industry Economics & Competitiveness, the Extra Automation Package adds 450 requests per country per month for $349 USD/year and is available on the Advanced plan only. See [Do Excel, Power BI, and the API share request limits?](#do-excel-power-bi-and-the-api-share-request-limits) for the included allowance.

## Is only the latest report available? {#is-only-the-latest-report-available}

Yes — only the most recent monthly edition is accessible through **My Products**. When a new edition is published, it replaces the previous one in the platform. Prior editions are not archived online.

Subscribers on plans that permit downloading (Pro and above) can save each month's PDF locally when it is published, building their own archive over time. Historical data from prior editions remains accessible through the Excel Add-In, Power BI, and the API on Advanced and Ultimate plans — the monthly data is not lost, only the PDF document itself is replaced.
