## How do I access Energy Prices & Markets reports? {#how-do-i-access-energy-prices-markets-reports}

Energy Prices & Markets reports are delivered as monthly PDF documents, one per country. To access them, log in at intratec.us, go to **My Products**, filter by **Energy Prices & Markets**, select the country you want, then click **View** to read online or **Download PDF** to save locally (if your plan allows downloading).

Beyond PDF, Advanced and Ultimate subscribers can also access the same data through Online Charts (interactive, browser-based), the Excel Add-In, Power BI dashboards, and the REST Web API — all available without any additional cost on those plans.

## Can I download reports as PDF files? {#can-i-download-reports-as-pdf-files}

Whether you can download a PDF depends on your subscription plan:

| Plan | PDF Access |
|---|---|
| Starter | Online read-only — reports can be viewed in the browser but not downloaded |
| Pro | Downloadable — reports can be saved locally as PDF files |
| Advanced | Downloadable and print-enabled |
| Ultimate | Downloadable and print-enabled |

Starter subscribers can read reports in full through the browser; downloading requires Pro or higher.

## Is there an Excel add-in for Energy Prices & Markets? {#is-there-an-excel-add-in-for-energy-prices-markets}

Yes — the Intratec Excel Add-In is available on Advanced and Ultimate plans. It lets you pull up-to-date energy price data directly into Excel with the press of a button, with no manual data entry and no setup required on existing Excel models. The add-in works on both Windows and Mac.

The Excel Add-In is included at no extra cost with the Advanced or Ultimate subscription. Subscribers on Starter or Pro plans need to upgrade to access it.

## Can I connect Energy Prices & Markets data to Power BI? {#can-i-connect-energy-prices-markets-data-to-power-bi}

Yes — Power BI integration is available for Energy Prices & Markets on Advanced and Ultimate plans, at no additional cost.

The setup, the open-source `.pbix` files, the Developer-role assignment, and the customization workflow are identical across Intratec products — see [Can I connect Intratec data to Power BI?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#can-i-connect-intratec-data-to-power-bi) for the full walkthrough. A courtesy account is included for testing the dashboards before connecting to your actual subscription data.

Power BI requests share the same monthly data-request pool as the Excel Add-In and the API — see [How do I get energy data into Excel or Power BI?](./subscription-plans.md#how-do-i-get-energy-data-into-excel-or-power-bi) for per-plan limits.

## Is there an API for Energy Prices & Markets? {#is-there-an-api-for-energy-prices-markets}

> Yes — Energy Prices & Markets is accessible via Intratec's REST Web API on Advanced and Ultimate plans, at no additional cost. Currency and unit selection are supported per energy price assessment.

The API conventions, supported languages, workflow-tool compatibility, and Developer-role setup are identical across Intratec products — see [Is there a REST API for Intratec data?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#is-there-a-rest-api-for-intratec-data) for the full technical reference.

For per-month request allowances and tier options specific to Energy Prices & Markets, see [How do I get energy data into Excel or Power BI?](./subscription-plans.md#how-do-i-get-energy-data-into-excel-or-power-bi) — the API shares the same monthly pool as the Excel Add-In and Power BI.

## Can I download energy price data as a spreadsheet? {#can-i-download-energy-price-data-as-a-spreadsheet}

Monthly Downloadable Spreadsheets are available **exclusively on the Ultimate plan** for Energy Prices & Markets. Each month, ready-to-use spreadsheet files are uploaded to your user area — log in, navigate to **Your Products**, and download the latest files directly.

This is the same feature available across all Intratec subscription products (Ultimate-only on every product). For the full mechanics, the difference from the Excel Add-In, and request-limit treatment, see [Can I download Intratec data as a monthly spreadsheet?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#can-i-download-intratec-data-as-a-monthly-spreadsheet).

Starter, Pro, and Advanced subscribers do not have access to this feature.

## How many API requests do I get per month? {#how-many-api-requests-do-i-get-per-month}

API request limits for Energy Prices & Markets are set per country per month:

| Plan | API Users | Requests per Country / Month |
|---|---|---|
| Advanced | 1 | 10 to 500 |
| Ultimate | Up to 20 | 500+ |

The specific number within the Advanced range (10–500) depends on the automation tier selected. You can expand your limit at any time by adding an Extra Automation Package through **Subscriptions Billing > Upgrade Plan**.

Requests are non-cumulative — unused allowances do not carry over to the following month. The limit resets when new data is published according to the release schedule.

## Do API, Excel, and Power BI share the same request limit? {#do-api-excel-and-power-bi-share-the-same-request-limit}

> Yes — the API, Excel Add-In, and Power BI all draw from the same monthly request pool.

The monthly data request limit for Energy Prices & Markets is applied per country across all three delivery channels combined. It does not matter which channel makes the request — every retrieval of actual subscription data counts toward the same allowance.

!!!success
*If your subscription for one country has a limit of 50 requests per month and you retrieve 20 assessments through the Excel Add-In, you have 30 requests remaining for that country — across the API and Power BI as well.*
!!!

This pooling applies only to core data requests (prices, assessments). Sandbox requests and informational operations (such as checking available series or metadata) do not count toward the limit.

## What happens when I run out of data requests? {#what-happens-when-i-run-out-of-data-requests}

When the monthly request allowance for a country is exhausted, no further core data can be retrieved for that country until the limit resets on the next monthly publication. The mechanics — non-cumulative allowances, automatic reset on the release date, sandbox exemption, and adding the Extra Automation Package — are identical across all Intratec subscription products.

For the full reset rules, sandbox guidance, and step-by-step Extra Automation Package upgrade, see [What happens when I run out of data requests?](../account-and-subscriptions/data-automation.md#what-happens-when-i-run-out-of-data-requests).

For Energy Prices & Markets, allowances are scoped per country (not per industry as in PCP). See [How do I get energy data into Excel or Power BI?](./subscription-plans.md#how-do-i-get-energy-data-into-excel-or-power-bi) for the per-plan limits.

## Can I convert energy prices to other currencies? {#can-i-convert-energy-prices-to-other-currencies}

Yes — currency conversion is available on all subscription plans. Through the Online Charts interface, you can switch between currencies (for example, from USD to EUR or JPY) and the displayed prices update accordingly. Currency selection is also available when retrieving data through the REST Web API.

This applies to all 12 energy commodities covered across the 33 countries in the subscription.

## Can I change the unit of measure for energy prices? {#can-i-change-the-unit-of-measure-for-energy-prices}

Yes — unit conversion is available on all subscription plans. The Online Charts interface lets you toggle between units of measurement (for example, kg, lb, or ton), and the data updates to reflect your selection. Unit selection is also supported through the REST Web API for energy price assessments.

This flexibility is built into the platform for all 12 energy commodities, so you can work in the units that match your internal models or procurement workflows without manual conversion.
