# Annual Subscription

## About the Subscription {#about-the-subscription}

### What is Commodity Production Costs Subscription? {#what-is-commodity-production-costs-subscription}

> Commodity Production Costs Subscription is an annual, schedule-based offer that delivers every report scheduled in the selected industries for one calendar year, all in the Detailed edition.

The subscription is a separate offer within the Commodity Production Costs family. It complements — rather than replaces — the existing one-time report purchase model. Reports included in the annual schedule may also be sold individually in the store; the subscription does not come with exclusivity.

Coverage scales by the industries you select, not by feature tier. There are no Starter, Pro, or Advanced plan variants — the offer is a single annual subscription with coverage defined by industry selection.

### Which industries are available? {#which-industries-are-available}

The subscription currently covers six industries:

- Alcohols & Organic Acids
- Aromatics & Derivatives
- Fertilizers & Gases
- Inorganic Chemicals
- Olefins & Derivatives
- Polymers

The smallest subscription unit is one annual industry subscription. Subscribing to a single commodity in isolation or building a custom basket of individual report titles is not supported under the subscription model.

### What does each industry subscription include? {#what-does-each-industry-subscription-include}

Each industry subscription includes every report scheduled in that industry's annual schedule for the contracted calendar year. The annual list of reports by industry and by quarter is public and treated as a fixed commercial commitment.

Each year's schedule delivers 16 reports per industry across four quarterly batches — four reports per industry per quarter. All reports are delivered in the Detailed edition.

### Is subscription different from buying reports individually? {#is-subscription-different-from-buying-reports-individually}

Yes. The two models are independent and coexist:

- **One-time purchase:** You select and buy specific report titles individually from the store. Each purchase is a standalone transaction.
- **Subscription:** You select one or more industries and receive every report in those industries' annual schedule for the contracted year, delivered automatically in quarterly batches.

Reports in the subscription schedule may also be sold individually in the store. There is no subscriber exclusivity — subscribing does not give you earlier access or reports unavailable to individual buyers. The subscription's value is **convenience and predictability**: a single annual commitment covers a full year of structured schedule coverage without tracking and buying reports one by one.

## Pricing and Discounts {#pricing-and-discounts}

### How is the subscription priced? {#how-is-the-subscription-priced}

> Pricing is public and charged per industry, billed annually. All eligible industries use the same monthly rate of $999 USD/month (billed annually).

{.compact}
| Industries (same transaction) | Discount | Total Monthly Rate (billed annually) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | — | $999 USD/month |
| 2 | — | $1,998 USD/month |
| 3 | 10% | $2,697 USD/month |
| 4 | 10% | $3,596 USD/month |
| 5 | 10% | $4,496 USD/month |
| 6 (all available) | 20% | $4,795 USD/month |

Compared with buying the same 16 reports per industry individually in the Detailed edition, the subscription represents roughly 50% savings over the year. The annual price is the same regardless of the month in which you subscribe within the contracted year.

### How are multi-industry discounts calculated? {#how-are-multi-industry-discounts-calculated}

Discounts apply only to industries purchased in the **same transaction** and are calculated on the size of that transaction alone. They do not factor in industries you already hold from a prior purchase.

!!!success
*If you start with 2 industries and later add 3 more in a separate transaction, the first purchase has no discount (1–2 industries) and the second transaction qualifies for the 10% discount (3–5 industries). There is no retroactive recalculation of the earlier purchase based on your combined total.*

## Timing and Delivery {#timing-and-delivery}

### Can I subscribe at any time during the year? {#can-i-subscribe-at-any-time-during-the-year}

Yes. The subscription can be purchased at any point during the calendar year at the same annual price.

The subscription is tied to the **calendar year of the contracted schedule**, not to a rolling 12-month term from your purchase date. When you subscribe mid-year, you immediately receive access to all reports already released that year for your selected industries, plus all remaining quarterly batches through December 31.

!!!secondary
A subscription purchased late in the year provides a shorter remaining window before the next annual cycle begins. The annual price reflects the annual commitment, not the number of months remaining — the same price applies regardless of when you purchase.
!!!

### How are reports delivered? {#how-are-reports-delivered}

Reports are delivered in **one quarterly batch per quarter** (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4). All subscription reports are delivered in the **Detailed edition** as downloadable PDFs, accessible through your account on the Intratec website.

At expiration, access through the portal ends. This includes access to the private subscription area, active download links, and future scheduled deliveries.

### Can I upgrade subscription reports to Premium? {#can-i-upgrade-subscription-reports-to-premium}

Yes. Subscribers can upgrade individual reports from the Detailed edition to Premium separately, at the standard upgrade fee. Technical support and plant capacity assessment included in the Premium edition become available for the upgraded report.

The base subscription covers the Detailed edition only — Premium is not included automatically.

## Renewal and Expanding Coverage {#renewal-and-expanding-coverage}

### Does the subscription auto-renew? {#does-the-subscription-auto-renew}

Auto-renew is available for subscriptions paid by **credit card or PayPal**. If auto-renew is active, the subscription continues into the next calendar-year cycle with the same selected industries at the same price.

The renewal charge occurs at the transition to the next annual cycle, not on the monthly anniversary of your original purchase.

If you modify the industry set at or before renewal, the modified configuration is repriced using the public table then in effect.

### Does payment method affect renewal? {#does-payment-method-affect-renewal}

Yes — the renewal experience differs by payment method:

- **Credit card / PayPal:** Auto-renew is supported. If the industry set stays the same, renewal price is unchanged.
- **Wire transfer:** Auto-renew is not supported. Renewal is a manual repurchase at the public price then in effect. Same-price protection does not apply.

Customers who pay by wire transfer can still subscribe and renew each year, but should plan for renewal as a fresh purchase rather than a passive continuation.

### Can I add more industries during the year? {#can-i-add-more-industries-during-the-year}

Yes. Industries can be added during the same calendar-year cycle. Added industries are treated as a **new purchase** and charged the full annual price — no pro-rata reduction applies, even if you are adding them mid-year.

When you add an industry, you immediately receive access to all reports already released that year for those industries, plus the remaining quarterly batches through year-end. Added industries become part of your active package and are eligible for auto-renew into the following cycle (under the same payment method rules).

Earlier purchases are not retroactively recalculated. The discount on the new transaction is calculated on its own size.

## Changes, Cancellation, and Refunds {#changes-cancellation-and-refunds}

### Can I reduce or cancel my subscription? {#can-i-reduce-or-cancel-my-subscription}

Partial downgrade — removing specific industries while keeping others — is not part of the standard offer. Your available options are to keep the current package or cancel the subscription entirely.

For credit card or PayPal subscriptions, you can turn off auto-renew before the next cycle begins to let the subscription expire at year-end without a new charge. For wire transfer, not placing the next manual renewal has the same effect.

### Are refunds available? {#are-refunds-available}

The subscription is an **annual commitment with no proportional refund**. It is not a monthly or pro-rated model.

Renewal charges for this offer are non-refundable, except where required by law. This applies because renewal immediately unlocks access to downloadable reports for the new annual cycle.

## Usage Rights and Sharing {#usage-rights-and-sharing}

### Can I share subscription reports with colleagues? {#can-i-share-subscription-reports-with-colleagues}

Yes. Sharing is permitted as **internal sharing within the same business**, managed by the subscription owner and admins. Team members from the same organization can be added as users through the account management area on the Intratec website.

Sharing is restricted to individuals with a business email associated with the licensed organization's domain. Users from outside the organization cannot be added under the standard offer.

### Can I use subscription content externally? {#can-i-use-subscription-content-externally}

The subscription is licensed for **internal business use**. The following are not allowed under the standard offer:

- **Third-party sharing:** Reports cannot be redistributed to clients, partners, vendors, or any external party.
- **Integration:** Subscription content cannot be embedded or integrated into a service, product, or external deliverable.
- **Publication use:** Using subscription content in external articles, presentations to outside audiences, or marketing materials requires **prior written consent** from Intratec.

Use cases beyond internal business use require a separate conversation with Intratec to determine the appropriate licensing path.

## Methodology and Scope {#methodology-and-scope}

### What are subscription reports designed for? {#what-are-subscription-reports-designed-for}

Subscription reports use the established Commodity Production Costs methodology — the same consistent methodology applied across the entire Commodity Production Costs library. They are designed to support **conceptual techno-economic assessment**, including:

- Investment screening and option evaluation
- Preliminary feasibility analysis
- Process benchmarking and cross-process comparison
- Research, R&D planning, and budget validation

The reports provide structured, comparable cost analyses that cover capital costs (CAPEX), operating costs (OPEX), and production process information, in the same standardized format used throughout the Commodity Production Costs library.

### What are subscription reports NOT designed for? {#what-are-subscription-reports-not-designed-for}

The subscription delivers structured Detailed reports — not an interactive analytical environment. The following capabilities are **not** part of the offer:

- **Not a process design package or FEED document:** The preliminary process designs in the reports are intended for cost estimation, not for engineering or construction use.
- **Not a scaling tool:** The reports do not include a mechanism for users to adjust costs dynamically across plant capacities or locations on demand. (Plant Capacity Assessment is available only in the Premium edition of individually upgraded reports.)
- **Not an interactive modeling platform:** There is no web-based environment for adjusting feedstock, utility, or product prices and re-running calculations live.
- **Not an integrated market-price intelligence layer:** Live or forecasted commodity market prices are not bundled with the subscription.
- **Not a substitute for enterprise ecosystems:** The subscription does not replicate the breadth of larger enterprise programs that combine interactive tools, historical process databases, and integrated market intelligence.

The value of the subscription is structured, methodologically consistent techno-economic content delivered on a public, predictable annual schedule.
